The name for the “Puff Prince” Jacket is actually pretty literal since the main feature of the jacket are the big puffy sleeves. There was this piece of fabric still unused and I wanted to experiment with extra volumes so I tried with the sleeves. Historically big puffy sleeves are associated with royalty and opulence and since the fabric is not that demure, I wanted to really go there with it. And since the focus here is the volume in the sleeves, to make the silhouette even more stark, the body of the jacket is cut shorter on the waist and straight on the sides. The jacket was constructed with the intention of breaking the geometry of the fabric pattern so the leftover pieces were cut into squares or stripes or even left as they were with the smallest intervention to fit the actual pattern. Slightly crop cut. Open front. Oversize shirt collar with hook-and-eye closure . Big oversize balloon sleeves and square cuffs with hook-and-eye closure. Asymmetrical design for both sleeves and body with alternating panels from leftover cuts.

The “Puff Prince” jacket is designed to fit gently on the body. Here it is shown in a JACQUARD LUREX PLAID fabric by Bonotto.
