The starting point when designing this piece was the classic trucker jacket. But for this first version (yes it’s always a work in progress with room for small future changes) the idea was to make it our way with some tweaks and twists to make it not too literal. So there are some details that are reminiscent of the trucker jacket such as the frontal yoke. Then the vertical lines in the front are actually pleats that give more movement and a bit of a 50s feel together with the cropped proportions, the elongated shoulders and the pointed scarf collar that ties like a handkerchief, hence the name of the garment.

Cropped proportions with high waist cut. Wide shoulders. Raw hems with zigzag stitching at the armholes. Front yoke. Back yoke with small pleats towards the sides. Single pleats in the front. Scarf-like collar. Snap buttons on the waistband for closure. White straight and zig-zag topstitching.

The “Chief” vest is designed to fit gently on the body. The snap buttons on the waistband allow a more relaxed or a tighter closure. Depending on the fabric chosen, prices may change.

Here it is shown in a DENIM TWILL fabric with a silver metallic thread in it, giving a shiny look.
